My first Brown Betty
It's supposed to make the best pot of tea in the world. That's quite a claim. I just love its' shape.
Apparently, " the Red Terracotta Clay, with its Rockingham Glaze, coddles the brew and gives the perfect cup of tea."
This was the great little touch added:
"Thank you for purchasing this authentic hand made English Brown Betty teapot. Whilst every care was taken in the manufacture of this teapot, in a hand made product some imperfection is inevitable, but the long term use of the product is not impaired and it will continue to make the best cup of tea."
I can see someone copying this paragraph, in Word, about 8 times on a standard business size sheet of paper and then cutting them up while having a cuppa. I love it!

A Fiat 500, James May and two BMX bikers
I LOVE Top Gear. In this segment, James May (in a Fiat 500) races two BMX bikers through Budapest. There are some really great shots here, but what is that little animal by the left wheel about 15 seconds into the video? A pigeon? Richard Hammond?
In any case, I want to go to Budapest.
watching other people's cats
I miss my kitty, so I'm watching other people's cats on YouTube. Oh, and turn the sound up.

The Great Race - Midge
The Great Race was shown at the Cannes Festival this year. It's about Midge, the one-eyed cat who loves to run and is rather good at it. ;) In fact, she outruns her buddy, Marty, all the time. It's great!

Three nuns and a Ford Fiesta
I read a story today about three speeding nuns in Italy (aged 56, 65 and 78) who were caught doing 180 kph in a Ford Fiesta. Apparently, they were rushing to the Pope's holiday residence after hearing that he had suffered a minor fall. They wanted to visit him to make sure he was okay. The driver's licence has been suspended for one month and she's been fined approximately $600. The rather swift nun is planning to appeal her charge.
Who knew a Ford Fiesta could go 180 kph.
Read the article.

This is fantastic! I came across it while watching a short film festival on the Independent Film network. It's called Music for one apartment and six drummers.

Young Frankestein
Okay, another one of my favourite films is Young Frankenstein with Gene Wilder (*heart*), Teri Garr, Marty Feldman, Cloris Leachman and Peter Boyle. Ha ha - this is hilarious. Hilariously silly that is.

Duel
Okay, this is one of my favourites. Dennis Weaver plays a tired, annoyed salesman going to visit a client. He has a long, and what may seem boring, drive ahead of him until...
It's a must see!

This is so cute. Waffles the curious kitty was checking out the hive when... suddenly, there was a buzz.

This is fantastic. It's the Lyre bird - an Australian bird and the male bird can mimic almost any sound, from other birds' calls to camera shutters and car alarms. Amazing... check it out.

cat on longboard
Cat. Longboard. Cat in box. Box on... Yes, you get the picture.
Our kitty loves cardboard boxes and we'll often find her curled up in one. Notice she's grooming herself in this magnificent piece of cinematography. She's a real ham and loved every minute of it. Hence, there will be more. Stay posted. Or keep posted. Or mind the horses. Bah, just check back every now and then to see what she's up to next.
